Keep practicing all of our sight words. This is week 5, so we should now have 15 words total that you are practicing each week. You have enough words that you could use index cards and create a really great game of Match! The more your children see the words, the more likely they will remember them!

Our Story: Goob and the Bug-Collecting Kit
It is a story that focuses on Habit 2 of The 7 Habits. This habit encourages us to Begin with the End in Mind. We are reminded to have a PLAN. We will talk about how we can plan with homework, sight word practice, etc.
Class Book: He and I are at...
Writing: We are creating "Small Moment" Stories. Stories that really happened to each of them and writing these stories so that others can read them. We will be talking about using "labels" to help the reader understand what we write.
Math:
We are finishing up Ch 9 on Sorting by Shape, Color, Size and Count. This will be a skill that we expect that they have mastered by the end of 1st quarter and we will begin our Numbers 0-10 practice. We will be writing these numbers and matching the number symbol with how many it represents.

Fundraiser
This is the end of the fundraiser. We will collect coupons for emojis on Monday and then start collecting the order forms. The official turn in date for the order forms and money is Tuesday. Thank you for your support!
Picture Day!!!!!!!
We will have picture day this WEDNESDAY, September 28th. Please be sure to have your children here on time. We are one of the 1st groups to get our picture taken. Please send in your orders or you can place them online by Wednesday. Make sure your child brings their SMILE with them to school! :)
Homework: This is the last week for September Homework. I will grade it and will be replacing it with the new October homework. Thank you for marking your reading every night and practicing your sight words each night.
