Sight word test will be Friday. Your child will be responsible for reading: I, like, see, the, a, can. They should have brought home a yellow Sight Word test that I scored on Friday.
*I've attached a document that includes some of the ways you can practice sight words. You can edit this document, so please share your child's favorite ways to the list so that others can catch on to the fun!

Reading/Writing:
Our Story of the Week will be "Chrysanthemum" by Kevin Henkes. We will be talking about how special our names are and begin our Close Reading activities.
We will be introducing Reading Centers. We will be building our stamina to see how long we can work quietly & focused in our centers. I will post our progress.
Math:
We will be learning about position words in Chapter 10 in Math and we will be taking our Math test at the end of this week.
Teacher Notes:

- Homework is due Friday (GREAT job completing and returning the homework this week!)
- Eckert's Field Trip: Wednesday, September 21st from 9-3pm. Please return your permission slip this week if possible. If you are not completely sure if you can join us for this field trip, just make a note of this on the form and you can send me an email as the field trip gets closer. Thank you!!
- We had 11/17 students fill out their information on our Contact Form. If you are interested in information for play dates and birthday parties, please refer to this form until the Sappington Buzz Book comes out.
