We have a lot to be thankful for in Room 19. We had a great time learning about the First Thanksgiving. The Pilgrims were brave to make the long voyage to America. The Native American people were kind to teach the new settlers about growing food in the new land. Together they celebrated their success as people and as neighbors. What wonderful examples of character!
This week, we enjoyed...
bartering for different color beads,
filling our turkey with feathers that listed what we were thankful for,
reading Turkey for Thanksgiving and creating a turkey protest that included other food options to enjoy on Thanksgiving,
and finally our feast of food and friendship!
