Week of 11/27

Dear Parents,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend with family, food and friends!

We only have 3 1/2 weeks remaining in the 2nd quarter.  I will be starting our end of the quarter assessment this week.  If possible, it is important that your child is here each day and that they arrive on time.

Book Order:Due Friday, December 1st.  Visit online or paper order. I am sorry this order form came out at the same time as the School Book Fair.  It is not a competition :)  Just an opportunity to buy books for your children.

Book Fair begins Monday!

Nov 27-Dec 1: Book Fair during school hours
Nov 28: GRAND Event-Bring a Grandparent/Special Person to the Book Fair! 5:30-7:30 PM

Visit with Santa this Friday!
All aboard the Polar Express for Sappington's Visit With Santa on December 1st from 5:00-7:30 pm!
Wear your pjs at this FREE event and enjoy cookies, hot cocoa, games, stories in the Book Fair with Mrs. Claus, and even make gifts for your loved ones.
Don't forget your camera for photos with Santa. Don't have time for dinner that night? The fifth graders has it covered! They will be selling pizza and applesauce to raise money for their end of the year party from 5-7. To make this event successful we do need volunteers. Please sign-up here.  Flyer attached below.

Sappington Adopt-a-Family Holiday Project
We have some families in our Sappington community who can use our assistance to make the holiday season a little more special this year.  If you are interested in participating in our Adopt-a-Family Project, please take an ornament and complete the attached form indicating your donation.  Ornaments will be placed on a tree in the school lobby with the needs of each family.

Sappington Secret Santa
SPTG would like to help our families get to know each other better this year, so we are sponsoring a Secret Santa.  Those families that want to participate, it's easy.  At Visit with Santa, there will be forms available to enter your family.  There will also be a box to select a family.  For 4 weeks in December you will drop off one gift each week to the family whom you selected.  You will drop off the gifts at their house, not school.   Gifts should be $2 or under---homemade cards/gifts are great too!  The last week you will reveal your identity to your family.

If you want to participate but aren't going to Visit With Santa, fill out the attached form and return it to school by Thursday, November 30and the SPTG will draw a family from the box for you.  At our Movie Night in January there will be an opportunity to meet your Secret Santa Family.
