Just a reminder that the next two weeks I will be completing end of the quarter assessment. Here is a list of expectations for the end of 1st quarter. If your child can meet these expectations, then they will receive an ME (Meets Expectations) on the report card. This will be what I will be reviewing over the next 2 weeks :)
Please be sure to have your kids at school each day.
I will also reviewing your child's effort. The Effort Rubric is used on the report card.

Please make sure you practice these words EACH night and continue to review the other sight words. Here is a list of all Sight Words.
www.spellingcity.com is a fun way for your child to practice our sight words. Their log in information has been taped to the inside of their folders. If you have any trouble, please let me know. We are currently on "Week 6" when choosing a word list to practice. Your child can take a practice test or they can just play games with the words.
Letter of the Day:
We have completed our 1st rotation of Letter of the Day. We have introduced, practiced building, writing and producing sounds for all 52 letters. Your child is expected to know 39+ capital and lowercase letters by the end of the 1st quarter. Please be sure to review these letters and their sounds at home.
Reading/Writing:
Our Story-5 Little Pumpkins
Writing: We will use our 5 senses to observe the FALL world around us like scientists. We will include descriptive words such as their color, size and texture.
Math:
2D shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, hexagon
