Thank you to our SPTG for putting on an AWESOME Spring Carnival.  It was an awesome opportunity to experience the "community of Sappington" once again this year.

HOMEWORK: due Friday.  This is the last week for HW.  I will not have homework for the month of May.  You can keep up the routine of practicing sight words and reading nightly, but I am not asking that you fill anything out.

Story of the Week: Butterflies

Writing: Classifying insects, the 4 stages of a butterfly, observing and gathering data on our caterpillars.  

 Observing our chicks hatch.  They are expected to hatch Monday, so you should be hearing about it from your child!

Teacher Notes: 

Principals Day: Monday, May1st.  We are lucky to have 2 awesome principals this year.  No need for expensive gifts, but a kind note or email from your family with a positive message would certainly be refreshing. 

Grandparents Day:  Thursday, May 11th!!!  I will be sending you an email if I am missing some of your information.  Transportation: I will verify this with you as the day gets closer. Please let me know if there will be a change ASAP. 

  

ATTIRE: Your child can dress as they might for picture day.  We want them to look nice and be a wonderful host/hostess for their grandparent.  

Food: all Grandparents and kindergarten students will get a cookie to eat and a small water bottle.
