We are half-way through the 1st quarter! 

Please remember that there is no school for students this Friday, September 22nd. Teachers have professional development all day.  

Library is TUESDAY!

Great American Fundraiser is in full swing.  The chicken key chains are a big hit!  This week, Chicken Days are Tuesday 9/19 and Thursday 9/21. The last day for this fundraiser is Tuesday, 9/26.

Students had a little more difficulty with reading the 6 sight words this week.  Please make sure you are continuing to practice reading the words that we have already covered.

Reading/Writing:

Story of the Week: Apples 

This is a non-fiction story.  We will be discussing non-fiction vs. fiction. 

Our class book that we will create will be "My apple is ____." 

Writing: Turning ideas into books, Planning each page BEFORE you start writing. The value of writing partners.  

Math:

Numbers 6, 7 and 8.  We will also be playing some math apple games!
