SMILE! We will have picture day this WEDNESDAY, September 27th. Please be sure to have your children here on time. (You are all so good at this!) Send in the order form or you can order online. We are usually one of the 1st groups to get our picture taken. Make sure your child brings their SMILE with them to school! :)

Keep practicing all of our sight words. This is week 4, so we should now have 12 words total that you are practicing each week. You have enough words that you could use index cards and create a really great game of Match! The more your children see the words, the more likely they will remember them!

Our Story: The Day the Crayons Quit
We will be creating a class book with pages that look like crayons. We will build the sentence, I am a/an ________ crayon.
Writing: We are working with a partner and asking good questions so we can REVISE our writing and prepare it to share with others. We will continue to stretch out words and we'll check our Word Wall, to use any sight words we may already know, in our writing.
Math:
We are finishing up our introduction to numbers 0-10 by learning and writing the numbers 9 and 10. We will put our knowledge of these numbers into practice with some math games.
We will also be discussing 2D shapes. Kindergarten students are expected to know: square, circle, triangle, rectangle and HEXAGON. We will make patterns with these shapes.

Homework: Please remember to have YOUR CHILD mark down the sight words that they practiced that night. An adult can mark the book that is read.
