HALF day of SCHOOL ON FRIDAY 3/9

This Friday is the 1st of two Fridays in a row that are half days.  March 9th and March 16th.

Reading/Writing:
Story of the Week: Habit 7; Sharpen the Saw
We need a reminder that we all have feelings and that it is important to remember that we can use our words to hurt others and we can use our words to lift others up.  We are going to refresh what it means to "Fill Someone's Bucket" while we talk about what it means to Sharpen the Saw.

Math:
making numbers, number bonds, many ways to make a number (foundation for addition).

Teacher Notes: 

  • Spring Conferences:

 In Lindbergh, 2nd semester Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled on an "as needed" basis to address specific concerns.  Thursday, March 15 from 3:45-6:45 is reserved for these conferences.  I sent home both forms last week.  If you are requesting a conference with me, please make a note or send me an email about what you would like to discuss.  Thank you!

  • This Month, we are going to work on manners.  I will continue to encourage students to say please and thank, but also to be kind and courteous to those around them.
  • Pennies for Patients is this week! Here are some reminders:

    Monday: Pick Your Hero Pennies
    Bring in your pennies and dress as your favorite Super Hero!
     
    TuesdayNighty-Night Nickels
    Bring in your nickels and wear your pajamas at school.
     
    Wednesday: Dress for Success Dimes
    Bring in your dimes and dress to impress.
     
    Thursday:  Colors and Quarters
    Bring in your quarters and dress all in one color.
     
    Friday: Decked Out for Dollars
    Bring in your dollar bills and dress up in all your Sappington green and gold.
