Good Evening Parents,
What a BEAUTIFUL weekend!  Hopefully you had a chance to get outside and enjoy it.
  • No School on Friday, September 28.
  • Picture Day: Wednesday, 9/26   Make sure your kids stay healthy so they can join us on picture day :)

  • Check out Facebook to see some pictures of our Field Trip to Eckert's.  Thank you to all of our chaperones for donating their time.  If you have any apple pictures, please send them my way, some time this week.  Thank you!

Sight Words:
in, am, to
*I will be assessing students on Week 4 words on Thursday: I, like, see, the, a, can, we, is, my, in, am, to.  Please try to search for, read and build these sight words during the week.
You have enough words that you could use index cards and create a really great game of Match!  The more your children see the words, the more likely they will remember them!

Letter of the Day:

Wed: T
Thurs: U

Reading/Writing:
Our Story:

Math:
We are finishing up Ch 9 on Sorting by Shape, Color, Size and Count.  This will be a skill that we expect that they have mastered by the end of 1st quarter and we will make the numbers 6 and 7 this week.

Teacher Notes:
Homework:  This is the last week for September Homework.  I will grade it and will be replacing it with the new October homework.  Thank you for marking your reading every night and practicing your sight words each night.

Classroom Party Fee
You can now send in your child's class party fee.  In order to make the classroom party experience for each classroom more equitable, SPTG has decided to collect a party fee of $5-7/child.  The money will be divided evenly between every classroom for each party.  Classroom teachers will use funds from the party fee to purchase party snacks.  This will ensure snacks have met our district food policy guidelines and are "nurse approved."  Additional funds can support paper products, games, crafts, etc if needed.  We would like to collect all funds by September 27, 2018.
