Homework is due Friday. Please send it back in your child's HOME folder. I'll check this week's and send the packet back with your child on Monday to complete the following week.
Eckert's Field Trip: Friday, September 21st, 9-3. Please note that this is an ALL DAY field trip. I will have both the AM and PM class for the entire day. Please consider taking off work to help chaperon this field trip; however, please know that parents have to pay an admission fee of $6. A permission slip will be coming home soon.
Intake Conferences: I look forward to seeing half of you tomorrow night. I've included the schedule that you signed up for. Please let me know in advance if there is a problem and we will work to find something that can happen. Don't forget to come with strengths and weaknesses of your child and goals that you have for them this year. I will be a note-taking fool! Looking forward to it!
Grant's Farm Night
SPTG would like to invite you to join us in celebrating a new school year with Sappington Night at Grant's Farm on Thursday, September 20 from 5:00-8:30. This is a private event for Sappington Families Only! Parking for this event will be $13 and must be purchased in advance. On sight payment for this event is not available. You will need a pass for entrance (even if walking) as this event is only open for Sappington families. Parking/walking passes will be sent home the week of September 18. Fun passes are also available for preorder for $6 and will not be available for purchase at the event. Please see the attached flier for details. Do not forget to wear grade your level color. We are excited to spend the evening with our Sappington Families! Checks for Grants Farm parking and fun passes can be made out to SPTG. Due September 10th.

Library: We will have library every other Tuesday with Mrs. Horn. As we get into the swing of things, I may be able to take our classes up to the library to check out a new book for the week, but we won't begin doing that just yet. So no library this week.
HAT DAY! Our classes earned a hat day. Students can wear a baseball cap, a fancy hat, a police hat, a silly hat or any appropriate, fun hat that they'd like on FRIDAY! Great job Room 8!

Sight word test will be Friday. Your child will be responsible for reading: I, like, see. They should practice reading, finding, building and writing these words at home. We will be practicing them at school.
